California Minimum Wage Alerts

Which minimum wage applies to your address?

On top of the state minimum wage, 40 California cities and counties set their own higher rate. Enter a store address to see which rate applies and when and by how much it next increases.

The address is sent to the US Census Bureau public geocoder to find the city and county. It is not stored.

How it works

1. Address to jurisdiction

The US Census Bureau geocoder tells us whether an address is inside a city or in an unincorporated county area. This catches cases where the mailing city differs from the actual jurisdiction (for example, Rowland Heights and Hacienda Heights are unincorporated Los Angeles County).

2. Official sources only

The state rate comes from the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Local rates come from each city or county's official page. Every page lists the source link and the date it was checked.

3. Email before an increase

We email 30, 7 and 1 day before the January 1 and July 1 increases. One address is free; several locations are covered by Pro.
